The playoff picture is starting to become a little less hazy but there are still several teams battling for the few spots remaining.
The Hellraisers stayed in first and clinched a playoff berth with a convincing 118-69 win over the Gridiron Gastropods. The loss moved the Pods into a tie for third place. Even though The Rush lost 47-46 to Can't Touch This, they still claimed the second playoff spot and still stand in second place. Can't Touch This is trying to hang in at 6-7, but hopes are fading. The Eat My Ass Bitches finally got their head out of their ass as they beat the Flesh Torpedoes 97-65. The win marked the Bitches second in a row and it keeps them in a tie for third place. The once red hot Flesh have now lost two in a row. The Tar Babies remained one of the hottest teams in the league with a 129-54 violation of The Spear Chuckers. The win moves the Babies into a tie for fourth and keeps their dreams of playoff glory intact. The Chuckers, who looked like they may have a chance to challenge for a playoff spot only a few weeks ago, have stumbled into the cellar once again. The once powerful Fashion Police (with chick coach) continued their freefall with an 88-61 loss to the last place Black and Blues. The Police are still in the hunt, but are looking pretty weak as we near the playoffs. Finally, the Ass Clowns and the Hand of Doom fought to a tie for the second time this year, 117-117. The ties have really hurt HOD and may prevent them from getting to the promised land and they have kept the Clowns from gaining some respect in the league.

The Rush continued their hot streak this week, squeaking by the Hand of Doom 105-98. The Rush have won five in a row and remain the hottest team in Slugdom. The Hellraisers are not lying down though. They remained in a first place tie with The Rush with a resounding 129-87 win over the Flesh Torpedoes. The loss keeps the Flesh from reaching the .500 mark for the first time this season. In a battle for last place, the Ass Clowns pulled off their second win in a row with a 64-46 defeat of the Black and Blues. The loss pulls the Clowns out of the cellar and puts the Blues in it for the first time this year. In one of the closest games of the season, the Gridiron Gastropods narrowly defeated The Spear Chuckers 85-84. The win keeps the Pods in second place, one game back of the lead. The loss sets back the recently upstart Chuckers, whose coach exclaimed at the end of the game "we suck again!." In other action, the Eat My Ass Bitches nearly doubled up Can't Touch This 103-54. The victory keeps the Bitches in a tie for third and makes the playoff hopes dimmer for the This's. Finally, The Tar Babies extended their winning streak with an 88-55 win over The Fashion Police. This keeps the Babies in the playoff hunt and drops the suddenly stale Police (with chick coach) into a tie for third place.

Giants continued to fall this week in Slugcity Fantasy Football.
The hottest team in the league right now seems to be The Rush. They pulled out their fourth in a row with a 92-44 win over the Black and Blues. The win pulls The Rush into a first place tie with The Hellraisers who lost to Can't Touch This 80-75. The 80 points scored by the Hellraisers was one of their lowest outputs of the year. In a huge upset, the Ass Clowns defeated the Fashion Police (with chick coach) 62-39. The win breaks the Ass Clowns losing streak but does not move them out of the cellar. The defeat marked the Police's second loss in a row and moved them back into second place. Another hot team, the Flesh Torpedoes, scored their fourth win in a row with an 86-61 win over the Spear Chuckers. The Chuckers had their winning streak broken but still hope to sneak their way into the playoffs. In other action, The Tar Babies knocked the Gridiron Gastropods out of first with a 117-76 drilling. The Tar Babies have one two in a row and are still in the playoff hunt. Finally, the Eat My Ass Bitches took a hit to their playoff dreams with a 100-53 loss to the Hand of Doom. The win moves the Doom back to .500 for the season.

The Hellraisers continued to roll this week, sliding by the Hand of Doom 131-113. They now have sole possession of first place since the Gridiron Gastropods fell to the Flesh Torpedoes and The Fashion Police were hammered by The Rush. Speaking of The Rush, they moved into a second place tie with the win over The Police and are nipping at the heels of The Hellraisers. A Monday night comeback enabled The Tar Babies to defeat the Ass Clowns 116-97. The loss keeps the Clowns in first position for the number one pick in the draft. In other action, the suddenly hot Spear Chuckers stopped Can't Touch This 86-74. The win moves the Chuckers into a four way tie for fifth. The Eat My Ass Bitches stayed in the hunt with an 86-72 win over the Black and Blues. The Black and Blues seem to be fighting for the first draft pick with the Ass Clowns.

The high scoring Hellraisers, riding a three game winning streak, cruised into a first place tie this week with the Fashion Police (with chick coach) and the Gridiron Gastropods. The Hellraisers, who are averaging 101 points per game, seem to be on the fast track to win the division and accomplish great things in the playoffs. The uncanny ability of Coach Z has really shown on the field this year, as we may be looking at one of the greatest fantasy teams of all time.
In trade news, The Hand of Doom sent Deuce McAllister, RB and Andre' Davis, WR to The Rush for Ladainian Tomlinson, RB and Torry Holt, WR. In a trade still needing league approval, the Ass Clowns are sending Chris Brown, RB to Can't Touch This for running back Tyrone Wheatley and wide receiver Rod Gardner.

A recap of Week 7.......
Can't Touch This won their second in a row, winning by a pube hair over The Tar Babies 66-63. The Hand of Doom remained 1 1/2 games back of first with an 83-61 win over the Flesh Torpedoes. The Eat My Ass Bitches took their frustration out on The Rush, cornholing them 111-85. That leaves the Bitches two games back of first while The Rush drop a game in the standings. The Spear Chuckers recent momentum almost helped them pull the upset but they came up short in a 69-60 loss to The Fashion Police (with chick coach). The Chuckers remain in the cellar and the Police remain tied for the top spot. Sharing the top spot with the Police are the Gridiron Gastropods as they obliterated the Black and Blues 103-48. The Black and Blues have now dropped below .500 for the season at 3-4. Finally, the greatest scoring show in Slugdom, otherwise known as the Hellraisers, abused the Ass Clowns 119-88. The Hellraisers remain in second place at 5-2 only one game out while the Ass Clowns are treading water trying to stay off the bottom at 1-5-1.
On a side note, the Hellraisers are averaging 103.9 points per game and have scored 78 points more than the second highest scoring team, the Eat My Ass Bitches. How they ever lost those two games is a mystery.

Upsets!!! Oh, the upsets!!!
Week 6 was the best week for upsets so far this season. The first upset was a thrilling 70-62 win by The Spear Chuckers over the Ass Clowns. This was the first win of the season for the Chuckers and the underachieving Ass Clowns are going back to the drawing board. In the second upset, The Fashion Police (with chick coach) walked all over the previously undefeated Gridiron Gastropods 92-76. That moves the Police back into a first place tie with the Pods. The third upset featured Can't Touch This squeaking by the Hand of Doom 84-77. The normally high scoring Hellraisers were stifled as they missed their chance at a share of first with a 95-71 loss to The Rush. The win moves The Rush to only one game back of the lead. The Eat My Ass Bitches are quickly declining after a fast start as they lost their second in a row to The Tar Babies 79-72. Finally, the Black and Blues dismantled the Flesh Torpedoes 95-53. Things seemed to be looking up for the Flesh after last week's huge win but this loss sets them back again.

And the season rolls along....
Week 5 provided one of the biggest upsets of the year as the Flesh Torpedoes stuck it to the Fashion Police (and their chick owner) 87-64. The Ass Clowns fell short in their bid to give the Gridiron Gastropods their first loss, dropping the game 66-46. The Rush dealt the Spear Chuckers their fifth loss in a row, beating them 88-69. The Hellraisers, sporting the most potent offense in the league, violated the Eat My Ass Bitches 120-87. The Black and Blues got back on the winning track with a 106-67 beating of Can't Touch This. And finally, the Hand of Doom won their second in a row, squeaking past The Tar Babies 70-63.
The standings after Week 5 show the Gridiron Gastropods as the only remaining undefeated team at 5-0 while the Hellraisers, The Fashion Police, and the Hand of Doom are close behind. Since the Flesh Torpedoes notched a win this past weekend, that leaves The Spear Chuckers as the only remaining winless team.
Luckily, all coaches made it to the sidelines after a rousing good time at Pianoman and Amanda's wedding on Saturday evening. The results of Week 4....
The Gridiron Gastropods and their newly married coach extended their winning streak to four with a 77-60 win over The Rush. The Fashion Police appeared to be in trouble, but somehow pulled out a 58-51 victory over Can't Touch This and remain undefeated (did I mention their coach is a chick?). The Ass Clowns notched their first win of the season with a 90-72 stroking of the Flesh Torpedoes. The Spear Chuckers seem to be overhauling their team as they were beaten down by the Eat My Ass Bitches 87-56. The Hellraisers abused The Tar Babies 99-76. And finally, in one of the biggest humiliations of the year, the Hand of Doom completely destroyed the Black and Blues 70-29.
Week 4 shows the Gridiron Gastropods and the Fashion Police (with chick coach) on top of the league at 4-0 with the Hellraisers and the Eat My Ass Bitches close behind at 3-1. The Flesh Torpedoes and The Spear Chuckers are still bringing up the rear at 0-4, but both teams are hoping to make a turn around (or is that a reach around?) soon.
Another week in the books. Results....
The Tar Babies got past the Black and Blues 77-73. The Fashion Police continued their winning ways with a 90-52 trouncing of the Hand of Doom. The Rush....fuck The Rush. They beat the Flesh Torpedoes 105-89. The Hellraisers left the Spear Chuckers crying like little girls with a 116-46 thrashing. The Gridiron Gastropods remained undefeated with a close 92-88 win over the Eat My Ass Bitches. Finally, Can't Touch This notched it's first win of the season, beating the Ass Clowns 112-96.
The Fashion Police and The Gridiron Gastropods sit on top of the league at 3-0 while the Flesh Torpedoes and the Spear Chuckers are pulling up the rear at 0-3.
Oh yeah, fuck The Rush......

The Fashion Police decided that pink and lavender would be better colors for the Black and Blues as they beat them 83-72. The Rush touched Can't Touch This in all the wrong places, spanking them 103-53. The Eat My Ass Bitches circumsized the Flesh Torpedoes 95-79. The "Politically Incorrect Bowl" featured the Tar Babies beating the Spear Chuckers 60-53. The Gridiron Gastropods slipped by the Hellraisers 92-89. And, in the second barn burner in as many weeks, the Ass Clowns and Hand of Doom tied at 61.
Week 2 shows the Eat My Ass Bitches, the Gridiron Gastropods, and The Fashion Police sitting atop the league while the Flesh Torpedoes, Can't Touch This, and The Spear Chuckers are bringing up the rear. Until next week.....

The Fashion Police, featuring the only chick owner in the league, cornholed the Tar Babies. And, it looks as if The Hand of Doom will creep past The Rush, bringing to an end all of the trash talking between the two owners until they meet again. It looks as if this will be an exciting season...
