First, what's is a weblog? The perfect example of a weblog is the front page of slugcity.com. Somewhere you can post your daily thoughts, jokes, ramblings, etc, whatever you want to put on there. What software does it use? It uses www.moveabletype.org as the software that helps you publish your weblog. It's very easy to login, write what is on your mind, place a category on it and publish it! Even if your not very computer savvy, you can set up your weblog.
So how do you get one? You can post a comment to this story or e-mail me directly and I'll set your weblog up and get you thru the first couple of posts and configuration screens.
Your blog website address would be http://www.slugcity.com/blog/nameofblog/ so if your name of the blog was joe handcock, the web address would be http://www.slugcity.com/blog/joehandcock/. If you already have a web or e-mail account thru slugcity and want to use that space for your weblog, we can adjust your blog to point to your home directory.
Your data is backed up to another server everyday in the early AM, so you would not lose any posts if the server crashed!!! I'm going to try and do this, and I think it will work rather well. If your interested, give me a shout!!!
