It's clear sailing for River Bash '03 this year in the way of weather. It's going to be 90 during the day and 70 degrees this coming Saturday, July 26th.
The humidity will be around 60%, so drink lots of beer to help you pass out faster from the heat.
If you don't know how to get to River Bash, go to your favorite map website (www.mapquest.com) and plug in Stepanek Crossing. Can you believe "The River" made it on Mapquest as a point of interest?
We never decided on a time, but I would say since we are eating out there, anytime after 5 or 6pm would probably be safe, or is that too early? That gives us a full 2 hours of light to cook, clean up and start drinking.

i hope you didn't use the same weather forecasting source as for slugfest 2003 - if you remember, the forecast for saturday indicated a 0% chance of rain on saturday. however, my memory seems to recall a slightly rainy afternoon and evening.

regardless - it's in my blood back there a generation or three...

We had been hearing there would be about 75 vehicles for the run, but you never really know at an event like this. I counted 76 plus vehicles as we began to stage for the various runs. Three runs were planned for the day. The easiest run, lead by Carlos Diaz, was at Knippa. It was for the open vehicles or those who didn't feel comfortable driving up and down various rock ledges.
