SlugFest 2003 is only 4 daze away !!!

I can't hardly believe it's almost time. After a year of planning, coordinating, coercing, acquiring, and discussing, SlugFest is almost here. It's taken quite a bit of effort on several people's part....so I thought I'd take a moment to thank a few people:

Natas - for all the planning & coordination, and keeping the website and servers up and running (not to mention paying for the domain registration, building the webservers, and hosting the site himself). Also sending out the vast amounts of information to the masses. This year, we have (by far) been more educated and received more information that any other year. Natas has been devoting a considerable amount of time (sometimes 20 hours per week) to get this operation off the ground.

Hellraiser - For spearheading the fight to get the camp, sending in the request to get the park on the busiest weekend, writing and submitting the alcohol waiver, and writing an excellent alcohol policy letter (without it we would not have been granted the waiver). Also for helping in the meal planning, and the grocery shopping. And last but certainly not least, acting as the "glue" to keep everything together...especially when Natas and myself were at our wits end, and stressed out from the planning. All this while keeping up with that busy schedule he has (retirement is hard isn't it).

Jaywalker - For bringing his meat. For those that don't know, Jaywalker has been gracious enough to donate his meat for cooking. And also for supplying the stereo, speakers, and music.

Piano Man - He scored the grill that we will be cooking Jaywalkers meat on.

Flippo & Lisa - For helping with the menu, and getting a grocery list developed. Also for doing quite a bit of purchasing of essential items. They also submitted a second registration, in which they were award the 2nd group camp in the park (there are only two in the entire park).

Jesus - You said, "let us hold it in the park", and it shall be done...and it will be good. You will once again lead us into temptation, and deliver us straight into evil.

Cadman & Sara, Thrasher, Carolyn & Liam - For volunteering to be the "camp counselors" for Camp Slug, Camp Krue, and Camp Rolla.

Speshul K - for being our bitch, and wanting to see everyone wrapped in a sheet. Thanks for bring the dryer, Steve will thank you in person.

...and last but not least, everyone who gaves us ideas, help when we needed it, donations, and to all that registered (which made the planning hundreds of times easier) without you there would be no slugfest.
